The uses of oxytocin nasal sprays

April 25th, 2009

Lately oxytocin has been attracting huge media and scientific interest. Oxytocin has been called many things from the “cuddle hormone” to “liquid trust”.This article is going to look at some of the reasons people use oxytocin and oxytocin nasal sprays. It will also look at the effects of oxytocin upon humans.

Oxytocin is a hormone, and therefore, a naturally occurring substance produced by the human body. Women have this hormone in their systems to a greater level than men, and it has been found to increase during and after child birth, giving scientists the first indication that the hormone may play a role in the psychological bonding between mother and child. Further research has found increased levels of Oxytocin are associated with feelings of less stress and greater trust and empathy, leading the hormone to earn the media tag of ‘the love hormone’ or ‘the cuddle hormone’.

There has recently been an explosion of research across various institutes across the world seeking to confirm the role of Oxytocin in creating empathic psychological states and its consequent possible benefits in treating psychological problems ranging from social anxiety to autism and schizophrenia.

Oxytocin cannot be absorbed into the body by means of ingestion, therefore it is unlikely that a pill based form of oxytocin will ever be released. The only two effective methods of delivering oxytocin the the receptors in the brain are by injection and inhalation. As this article is not aimed at the medical use of oxytocin but solely the recreational use I will not discuss further the method of injecting oxytocin. Not only is it dangerous but oxytocin destined for injection is controlled by the medical board.

Nasal sprays on the other hand are convenient and a lot safer than IV. It is perfectly legal to own and utilize an oxytocin nasal spray. This form of oxytocin use is becoming more and more popular as many people are enjoying the benefits it can bring to both their social and romantic endeavors.

Below is a list of some of the sought after features of using an oxytocin nasal spay.

1. Oxytocin is know to reduce shyness in individuals and allow them to communicate better.
2. It is a good cure for anxiety and is often used by smokers as a replacement for nicotine.
3. It is used to help couples experiencing difficulties in their relationship.
4. Used as a business aid to increase trust levels with clients.
5. To reduce occurrences of anti social behavior.

It is obvious why interest in this human hormone is growing however there are some important things you need to consider when looking at oxytocin. It is a rarely new, less than ten years old. Some of its results are also seen as slightly controversial in academic and scientific circles, although its acceptance is becoming more recognized and more tests are being carried out. More and more researchers are beginning to speak out about the benefits of oxytocin and all the time more and more evidence is growing to support it.

The oxytocin nasal spray

April 10th, 2009

There is a lot of talk about a nasal spray being developed to help people socialize better and become easier to bond with and trust.

To those of you who may be unfamiliar with oxytocin it is a hormone present in humans that helps our brains determine feelings of trust, love and bonding. It is released in massive doses during intercourse and when in love.

The current products come in a nasal spray form. They are created like this because intranasal absorption of the oxytocin allows it to pass through the blood into the brain.

Oxytocin has been proven to have beneficial effects. Researchers at the University of Zurich used an oxytocin nasal spray to help people who are shy to socialize with others.

The oxytocin nasal spray is very easy to use, and anyone can have an instant boost of confidence by a mere squirt of the liquid.

University researchers have found oxytocin sprays to incredibly change the behaviour and attitude of over 70% of test subjects. All participants in the study noticed lessened anxiety and eagerness to start conversation with others in the group.

A major finding from this study was that the oxytocin hormone has a major effect on the areas of the brain that directly influence fear and the mental and physical responses when in fear.

We at buy oxytocin have found that liquid trust nasal spray outperforms any other sprays on the market. It is based directly on the spray that was used in the University trials and contains the most oxytocin per ml of solution than any other product.

Further research on Oxytocin nasal sprays, Part 2

Welcome to part 2 of my further research on oxytocin. If you haven’t read the first part click here Oxytocin nasal sprays and read it before reading this.

Oxytocin is a social hormone that interacts with the brain after interaction with gonadal steroids like progesterone, estrogen and testosterone.

There is a two way relationship between brain and behavior and hormones like oxytocin can affect the brain and thus affecting the behavior of the person.

Animal studies from scientific experiments have shown oxytocin to have pronounced effects on behavior. In many studies on animals when the natural source of oxytocin is blocked a mother will reject its young. This holds true from mice to pigs.

Another startling discovery was that virgin female animals injected with oxytocin cared for others young as if they were her own. As well as this experiments have shown that the presence of oxytocin in females is key to bonding.

“You first meet him he not the worst”. “The second time you go out, he’s OK. Then the third time you go out together, you have intercourse. And from then on you can’t imagine life without him”. Many scientists are now beginning to theorize that the hormone oxytocin could be behind this trend.

Since the amount of oxytocin released can be conditioned, after having sex a few times with the same partner, just meeting that partner could give rise to more oxytocin been given off, making you think you want to be with that partner even more. This gives rise to you forming a bond, one in which oxytocin plays a large part.

Hopefully this two part article has shed some light on oxytocin and those of you thinking about trying it. Remember oxytocin can be used as an aid in social bonding but dont expect it to have beautiful women eating out of the palm of your hand.

Of all the consumer brands of oxytocin on the market I have found the most potent one to be liquid trust. Not only has it outscored other oxytocin brands but its effects are the most in line with the current scientific findings suggesting a high concentration or purity of synthetic oxytocin is being used.

It has been called the ultimate love potion and this is the way companies now offering oxytocin nasal sprays are marketing it. It is still unknown whether oxytocin is the ultimate secret to unlocking love, however we do know that it plays a crucial role in both bonding and trust.

Oxytocin has become widely referred to as the cuddle hormone. It has gained this pseudonym because of its effect and role in both maternal instincts and social bonding.

Many of the myths surrounding oxytocin at the moment are speculation. Websites reporting that it gives near total control of the will of anyone you desire are wide of the mark. I have even seen one website (which I wont name) that has refferred to it as a “roofie in a spray“.

What we do know about oxytocin though is that in animal models, including humans, oxytocin levels in the brain play a large role in social, romantic, sexual and learning behaviours and states.

The discovery of oxytocin receptors in the brain has been a fairly recent discovery. Up until ten years ago scientists had not known these things even existed. What scientists have shown what these recoptors do is to form our behavioural to stimulus related to social bonding etc.

Oxytocin is found in the bodies of both men and women in fairly equal amounts, the oxytoin receptors are also found in both sexes but are particularly dense around the reproductive organs and the brain. It is also interesting to note that oxytocin is given to almost all women entering labour. This is done to help induce contractions and speed up the process of childbirh. Oxytocin use in childbirth is a huge subject and in this article I will not delve much into this use of oxytocin.

Most scientists are not out and out believers that oxytocin can do everything some people claim it can however more and more credible scientists are starting to think twice about what they claim of oxytocin. At this moment there are many studies by world leading academics to try and find out the true nature of this hormone.
